05/02/12  Lodge Update

We are excited to announce the installation of a stairlift from the
restaurant level of the lodge to the next floor (with the overnight accommodations).  This major upgrade will make it easier for us to host events for groups and families with a physically challenged member.

Campground News
The campground received major upgrades last summer.   An open-bottom arch ("fish friendly") culvert was installed over Deadman Creek to promote fish passage and reduce erosional damage during heavy spring runoffs.  In addition, the gravel road accessing the campsites was relocated farther from the creek to provide better stream protection.  Revegetation efforts proceeded into late fall with the reintroduction of native plants and grasses to the disturbed areas.  The campground will be reseeded again in spring by lodge personnel to assure complete restoration.

A side benefit of the Deadman Creek Culvert Project was the enlargement of existing campsites.  Some camping areas had to be eliminated, but the net effect will be a much better experience for our guests.  Twelve new picnic tables are planned for 2012 to complete the campground upgrade.

Lodge Information
The lodge has a total of fifteen rooms.  They are configured as six single rooms, four family units, and the top floor suite.  Prices range from $65 to $225, depending upon the room and it's amenities.

Accommodations have queen or king beds.  There are no phones or TV's in the rooms, and cell phones do not have reception.  Free Wi-Fi is available.  We suggest that you bring a good book, playing cards or a board game to enjoy with family and friends.

The restaurant offers American-style cuisine.  Our kitchen was recently expanded to provided faster service and better quality food.  The banquet menu for group events is excellent and offers a bountiful treat for our guests.  Folks rave about the food!!
